My dogs were kicked out of Camp Fur Baby.
True story. Kicked out. Sent home. They frightened the owner enough with their barks, jumps and anxiety that she felt when I left, they would be too hard to handle.

It is so embarrassing and slightly funny. Thankful for parents that are retired…but these crazy dogs could not pull it together and were kicked out…wow!
Henry is not often described as helpful. Anxious, crazy, psycho…those are first three words that come to mind. Today, he was important.
My son lost his favorite stuffed toy in the most dramatic way possible. He cried, he screamed, he yelled….and then he laid on his dog/best friend. The famous Henry was his therapy and peace.
I will forever be thankful we said yes to the mess and the stress.
This dog, with his anxiety, tries to act so tough! A friend came to visit and he barked with the most ferocious bark…but he is not going to do anything…stop it, Henry…you are all bark and zero bite🤣 After 5 minutes he was licking her face🤦♀️
Hard to be productive when you have doggy snuggles this Monday afternoon.
Dog therapy is the best.
Fireworks bring out the best in dogs, right? Add that to the fact we live in the country where fireworks are legal…you have a dog disaster. Ellie handles them well…Henry does not!
I give the medicine and put on the vest. Last night I held a chew toy. What seems to work best…is my attention. The blessing and gift from God in the madness…is the cuddles and hugs from a dog that rarely sits still.
Happy 4th of July!
Our lovable, but anxious dog has been on anxiety meds for about three weeks. We have seen some relief on his part including more of an ability to rest. We have seen a HUGE difference with adding a security vest. Even his new harness gives him some ease. Anything to keep us all sane!
It is official…my dog and I take the same anxiety medication. Hoping this helps save our marriage, sanity and home.
We thought getting fixed would calm Henrie down. It didn’t.
We thought CBD would calm him. It didn’t.
Long jogs help. Playing catch helps. Walking our acre helps. But he is still wild.
The worst part is this dog surfs for food and nothing is off limits.

I am losing the battle.
We took our dogs for a painful necessity this week….surgery to remove their abilities to reproduce. It was painful, but necessary.
Our vet took great care and they are on the way to being active again.
